I had surgery awhile back but finally made it back out today. The weather hasn't been great, but it was nice to get off the couch again!

Hiking, day 36: Longmont Flour Mill

We hiked over to one of our favorite local breweries for a beer and dinner pairing, so we got a good look of the older downtown area that's just in the beginning of being transformed.

We're getting a pretty intense snow storm here on the Front Range, so I took a stroll around the neighborhood today and got this shot of the new art installation at Collyer Park.

I'm unfortunately pretty far behind on my yearly hiking goal again - only made it out once in the month of September.

Hiking, day 33: Nighthawk Trail

This is a trail I don't do as much in Lyons, CO, but I decided to take a detour today for something different.

The trail is pretty overgrown currently in spots, but pushing past it is worth it.

Hiking, day 32: Hall Ranch

Got a good hike in today before wrapping up my few days off, and just in time, too: as I was descending I heard the emergency vehicles and saw the smoke from a new forest fire just north of Lyons and most of my usual hikes.

I'm headed back to a long run at work again, so I'll be hitting the trails again in mid-September. See you guys on the flip side!

Still enjoying the views from this Lyons, CO trail.

These plants had big beautiful flowers a few weeks ago, now they have some sort of fruit or seed pods. Not sure what they are, but they look neat!
