Hiking, day 31: Sandstone Ranch

Took a bit of a shorter hike today, since my husband and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary today! I headed over to one of the local parks, and there was so much wildlife out today!

The trail runs by some oil fields, one of which is home to a fair amount of prairie dogs.

After over a week of working almost non-stop, I finally got a hike in this morning on my first day off! I had to head out early to beat the storms; it's definitely spring time in Lyons, CO!

Hiking, day 27: St. Vrain Greenway

I haven't been out much, due to work and the unpredictable weather. But I managed to make a quick trip to the greenway in between running errands today. It's interesting to watch the city working on fixing the landscape after the flood a few years ago - I even got a quick photo of one of their drones doing surveillance! (You can see it if you look closely in the photo below, just to the right of the light post!)
